1. Periodic maintenance and inspection of the crane's hydraulic system. This includes checking the hydraulic oil tank for looseness or damage; inspecting for cracks and oil leaks; verifying that the oil level meets requirements; checking the hydraulic oil for contamination or changes in viscosity; and inspecting the hydraulic pump for looseness or damage.
2. Periodic maintenance and inspection of the crane's oil pump drive mechanism. This includes checking the operating condition of control levers; inspecting the power take-off (PTO) unit for looseness or oil leaks; checking for abnormal noise or overheating; examining drive shaft flanges and connectors for looseness; and checking for vibrations, scratches, or wear.
3. Periodic maintenance and inspection of the crane's slewing (rotation) system. This includes inspecting the turntable for cracks or deformation; checking the quantity and quality of the lubricant in the reduction gear; ensuring the reduction gear housing is free from cracks, deformation, or oil leaks; and checking the reduction gear and slewing bearing for abnormal noise, vibration, or looseness.
4. Periodic maintenance and inspection of the crane's luffing (boom elevation) system. This includes checking the luffing cylinder pins for significant wear or damage, and ensuring that the bolts securing the pin retaining plates are properly tightened.
5. Periodic maintenance and inspection of the crane's hoisting system. This includes checking the hydraulic motor for looseness, cracks, or oil leaks; inspecting the housing for deformation or cracks; monitoring for noise or vibration during operation; and checking pipe fittings for looseness or oil leaks.
6. Periodic maintenance and inspection of the crane's main boom telescoping system. This includes inspecting the main boom for cracks, deformation, or damage; ensuring that the bolts for the main boom pin retaining plates are tightened; checking sliding surfaces for scratches; inspecting pivot bushings for wear or damage; and verifying that the sliding surfaces are adequately lubricated.
7. Periodic maintenance and inspection of the crane's controls, instrumentation, and safety devices. This includes: verifying that joysticks and pedals are fully functional and free of excessive play; ensuring that work lights operate correctly and are properly installed; and checking that windshield wipers function as intended, with no signs of wear or damage to the wiper blades.
8. Periodic maintenance and inspection of the crane outrigger mechanism. This includes: checking for any unintended retraction of the lifting cylinders during crane operations or any settling of the outriggers while the vehicle is in transit; and inspecting pipe connections for looseness or oil leaks.
9. Periodic maintenance and inspection of the crane's support structures and accessories. This includes: checking the support structures for twisting, bending, deformation, or cracks; and ensuring that no accessories are damaged or missing.
10. Routine maintenance of the crane. This includes: selecting appropriate hydraulic oil, lubricating oil, and fuel for truck-mounted cranes based on ambient temperature conditions. It is essential to keep all hydraulic fluids, lubricants, and fuel clean. When replenishing these fluids, the filler opening must be wiped clean; if a filter screen is present at the filler opening, it must remain in place during the refueling or refilling process.
